Hong Kong police launch citywide manhunt for 3 suspected triad members after armed attack

Hong Kong police have launched a citywide manhunt for three suspected triad members who allegedly attacked four men, including three brothers, with a hammer and baseball bats at a public housing estate.

The attack took place outside Wah Yiu House at Lai Yiu Estate in Kwai Chung at around 11.15pm on Monday when the three suspected members of the Wo Shing Wo triad society accused the three brothers and their relative of staring at them.

“During the dispute, the three gangsters attacked the four men with a hammer and baseball bats,” a source familiar with the case said.

The attackers, whom the insider identified as “non-Chinese”, fled in a delivery van before police were called in. Arriving officers searched the vicinity, but no arrests were made.

According to police, the four victims, aged between 26 and 37, suffered head and limb injuries. They were rushed to Princess Margaret Hospital in Kwai Chung for treatment.
