Defendants charged over deadly crane collapse at Hong Kong site to enter pleas in November
- Prosecution prepares case against four individuals and seven companies charged over tower crane collapse that killed three in 2022

Four individuals and seven companies charged over the collapse of a tower crane at a Hong Kong construction site, killing three workers and injuring six others, will plead before the court as early as November 19.
The 11 defendants facing 67 summons from the Labour Department appeared in Kwun Tong Court on Tuesday. A manslaughter case involving the then project manager from Aggressive Construction Company, the main contractor, will be moved to Eastern Court on September 9 for transferral proceedings to the High Court.
The prosecution applied to reschedule the case to November and said it would provide previously unused documents to the defence before the next hearing.
Chief Magistrate Victor So Wai-tak adjourned the proceedings as requested and ordered the defence to notify the court on its stance a month before the hearing.
The tower crane accident killed three men in September 2022 at a Housing Society building site on Anderson Road in Sau Mau Ping.

The 65-tonne crane collapsed onto nearby containers used as temporary offices, killing an electrician, an engineer and an engineering assistant, and injuring six others.
