Driver escapes serious injury after van collides with truck, overturns on busy Hong Kong road

A driver escaped serious injury on Tuesday after his delivery van collided with a truck and flipped onto its left side at a busy Hong Kong road junction.
Emergency personnel were called in after the collision took place outside Fuk Loi Estate at the junction of Castle Peak Road and Sai Lau Kok Road in Tsuen Wan at around 10.13am.
A police spokesman said the delivery van overturned after the collision, adding that its driver managed to climb out before police officers and firefighters arrived.
He said the man was transported to Yan Chai Hospital with a waist injury, while the truck driver hurt his leg.
Officers from the New Territories South traffic unit are investigating the cause of the accident.
The Transport Department said that due to the accident, part of the Tuen Mun-bound lanes of Castle Peak Road near Sai Lau Kok Road were closed to all traffic as of 11.37am.
