Hong Kong police hunt for 2 men over attack on teacher in ‘suspected love triangle dispute’
Source says initial investigation suggests female teacher had dispute with boyfriend’s wife, with married couple still in divorce proceedings

Hong Kong police have launched a citywide manhunt for two suspects who assaulted a female teacher in a secondary school in Kwai Chung by punching her in the face multiple times.
A source said officers were investigating whether the attack on Wednesday was linked to a suspected love triangle involving the 45-year-old woman and her boyfriend, a firefighter in the midst of a divorce.
“A preliminary investigation suggests her boyfriend is in the middle of divorce proceedings,” the insider said, adding the teacher and her boyfriend’s estranged wife had recently become embroiled in a dispute.
The attack took place at the Lions Clubs International Tseung Chui King College on Hing Shing Road in Kwai Chung at around 8am, about half an hour after the teacher was driven to school by her boyfriend.
“The two attackers rushed into the school, went to the first floor and assaulted the victim as she exited the teachers’ room,” the source said, adding that no weapon was used in the attack.
He said the two assailants repeatedly punched the woman in her face before running out of the building.
The teacher suffered injuries to her face and hands and was rushed to Princess Margaret Hospital in Kwai Chung for treatment.
