A woman was injured when she was struck by a light rail train and became trapped under the vehicle in Hong Kong on Saturday evening.
Police said the incident occurred at the MTR Light Rail Depot stop in Tuen Mun at around 6pm. The train was travelling in the direction of Yuen Long.
According to a force spokesman, the woman was trapped underneath the train and was subsequently rescued by firefighters, before being transported to Tuen Mun Hospital.
The woman sustained abrasions on her face and limbs, police said.

The rail operator, the MTR Corporation, stated that the accident scene had been cleared at around 7.20pm and that the light rail service was gradually resuming.
A rail spokesman said the incident occurred at around 6pm when a female passer-by suddenly ran out to the crossing of the track of an oncoming train on the 615 route heading towards Yuen Long as it was about to enter the station.
“The train conductor immediately sounded the horn and applied the emergency brakes,” the spokesman said. “The female passenger was knocked down and sent to the hospital.”
MTR said the incident was captured by the train recorder and that it would cooperate with the police investigation. The corporation also sent staff to contact offer their sympathies to the woman’s family.
“The incident caused service disruption on three light rail routes for over 10 minutes, which resumed normal at around 6.18pm,” it added.
