Hong Kong police investigate after woman, 38, found dead in Yuen Long flat

Hong Kong police are investigating after a 38-year-old woman was found dead at a flat in Yuen Long.

The force said on Thursday that a man surnamed Lai reported there was a strange smell coming out of a neighbouring flat in his building on On Lok Road at around 5.50pm the previous day.

It added that Lai suspected that his neighbour, surnamed Lee, might have fainted inside.

When police and other personnel arrived at the scene, the woman was confirmed dead.

A source said that no suspicious wounds had been found on the woman’s body.

Pictures from the scene circulating online showed personnel in protective clothing removing bags from the flat.
