A man allegedly attacked a domestic helper with a box cutter at a public housing estate in Tsing Yi before falling to his death from the building, Hong Kong police said on Tuesday.

The incident occurred on Monday night at Leung Fat House in the Cheung Fat Estate. A resident contacted police at 9.40pm and told them that the helper had allegedly been attacked by a 31-year-old man, after which she had returned to her flat.

After officers arrived at the scene, the 47-year-old woman was taken to Princess Margaret Hospital in Kwai Chung to treat injuries to her hands and face.
