Hong Kong man, 25, found dead in flat in suspected autoerotic asphyxiation case
Father finds son in their Kwai Chung flat with towel around his neck, with source saying no other suspicious injuries or suicide note

The discovery of a Hong Kong man found dead in his flat with a towel around his neck has prompted a police investigation, with sources saying he was believed to have been engaging in autoerotic asphyxiation.
Police said they received a call at around 6.24pm on Thursday from the man’s father, who reported finding his son dead inside their flat at Kwai Chun Court in Kwai Chung.
Emergency responders arrived to find the 25-year-old man, surnamed Wong, with a towel about 80cm (31.5 inches) long around his neck.
He was freed but declared dead at the scene. Police said no suicide note was found.
A source said Wong had told his family not to enter his room as he needed to prepare for exams on the night of October 21. He was not heard from again until Thursday, when his father went to check on him.
He opened the door to find his son with a towel around his neck and “an image from a pornographic website” on his computer screen.
