Hong Kong police have arrested a man and a woman on suspicion of acts outraging public decency, days after a video went viral for showing two people performing what appeared to be sexual acts on a bench at a public pier on Cheung Chau.

The force said on Friday that it received a report two days earlier about people allegedly performing indecent acts on Cheung Chau Public Pier, with officers later arresting a 61-year-old woman and a 63-year-old man after an investigation.

The woman was arrested on Thursday, while the man was apprehended a day later.
