A doctor who was allegedly molested by a constable inside a police station dismissed a defence counsel's suggestion that she flirted and smiled at the officer before later accusing him of attacking her.

The victim, named only as "X" in Eastern Court for legal reasons, said the arguments put forward by Constable Kong Ho-wan's barrister, Cheng Huan SC, were like something from a movie.

Kong denies one count of indecent assault and one count of misconduct in public office.

The prosecution alleges that Kong took the doctor, who had just been released on bail after being arrested for shoplifting on January 12, into Wan Chai police headquarters the next day and molested her in a female toilet under the guise of conducting a body search.

Cheung suggested to the victim, a mainlander who came to Hong Kong on a two-way permit for a research internship, that she behaved seductively to Kong before they went inside the toilet.

She also denied smiling at the defendant before the attacks, and leaving the toilet "like husband and wife" afterwards.

In Kong's video-recorded interview with police broadcast in court, he said: "In fact, the woman asked me where the toilet was, and I took her … to the female toilet.
