A stray dog was in stable condition at a clinic after animal volunteers suspected it had been shot by a projectile on a hillside in Wong Tai Sin yesterday.

The two-year-old male mongrel, named Big Ear by animal volunteers, was found to be lying in blood and half-conscious on a hillside near Tsz Ching Estate at Wong Tai Sin at around 8:30am yesterday by local residents, who called the Hong Kong Non-Profit making Veterinary Clinic for help.

Upon receiving the call, clinic volunteers rushed to the hillside to rescue Big Ear and bring him to their clinic in Prince Edward.
