A bus driver escaped serious injury when his vehicle careered out of control and rammed into five vehicles in Hung Hom during the morning rush hour on Friday.

The man, hurt in the neck but still conscious, was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Yau Ma Tei for treatment.

The crash happened next to a taxi rank on Cheong Wan Road outside Hung Hom MTR station at about 8.53am.

“It was a six-vehicle collision and the vehicles included a tourist bus, taxi and private car,” a police spokesman said.

He said one of the drivers suffered neck injuries in the crash and officers from the Kowloon West traffic unit were investigating the cause.
