Hong Kong husband admits molesting stepdaughter after wife refused sex
Court hears that construction worker attacked teenager six times and harassed her with sexual requests after claiming she had to repay her mother’s ‘debt’

A construction worker on Monday admitted that he molested his stepdaughter on six occasions and harassed her with sexual requests after claiming that she had to repay her mother’s “debt” for refusing to have sex with him.
The father of four, who cannot be identified, admitted six counts of indecent assault. He said in tears during mitigation: “I very much regret the things I’ve done, I am ashamed to face my family.”
However, he still asked for a shorter jail term so he could see his wife and care for his three biological children.

The District Court heard the man fathered two daughters and a son with his wife, a divorcee who had a teenage daughter from her first marriage. They shared a studio flat in Tsing Yi.
Their troubles began in April 2014 when the man approached his stepdaughter, then 19, and said her mother had refused to have sex with him so she would have to pay the “debt”.
Out of fear, the stepdaughter followed his instructions to lie on the bed. But she refused his advances.
However that did not stop him from molesting her, even while his other daughters were in the same flat – one sleeping and the other watching television.
