Hong Kong man loses HK$160,000 Rolex watch and HK$5,000 cash in armed robbery
Police are hunting for two suspects aged 20 and 30, about 1.7m to 1.8m tall
Hong Kong police are searching for two male robbers who threatened a 36-year-old man with a weapon and took his HK$160,000 watch and HK$5,000 in cash.
The robbery took place outside Yuccie Square housing estate on Tai Kiu Road, Yuen Long when the victim was walking home alone at about 1.15am on Wednesday.
“One of the culprits threatened the victim with a weapon,” a police spokesman said.
The Hongkonger was robbed of a Rolex watch worth HK$160,000 along with HK$5,000 in cash.
Police said the victim was unable to make out what the weapon was as it was too dark.

The man suffered minor hand injuries. His wounds were bandaged at the scene and did not require hospital treatment.
Officers searched the area, but no arrests were made. Detectives from the Yuen Long police district are handling the case.
The two male robbers are thought to be aged between 20 and 30 and are about 1.7m to 1.8m tall. The police spokesman said the pair were wearing masks at the time.
According to official statistics, police handled 102 cases of robbery in the first seven months of this year, a 36.6 per cent drop compared with 161 in the same period last year.
