Hong Kong sex attacker on the run after assault on 11-year-old schoolgirl
The man, thought to be aged between 20 and 25, posed as a police officer
Police were on Friday night searching for a sex attacker who posed as a plain-clothes police officer and indecently assaulted an 11-year-old schoolgirl on a public housing estate in Hong Kong.
The Cantonese-speaking man, who was still on the run, approached the girl – a Primary Six pupil – on Pak Tin Estate on Pak Tin Street, Sham Shui Po at about 4.30pm on Wednesday, as she walked home from school.
“The victim was told he was a police officer. He demanded to check her school handbook and then took her to a nearby staircase, where she was indecently assaulted,” a police source said.
After receiving the report, police scouted the area but no arrest was made.
Man arrested after sex attack on six-year-old girl
The attacker had short hair was thought to be aged between 20 and 25. He was about 1.7 metres tall.
He was wearing a face mask, a dark green jacket and dark jeans at the time of the incident, according to police.
