Project Space and Credit Suisse team up to bring Christmas cheer to needy families through Operation Santa Claus
- The charity, which assists poor families with home repairs, treated its beneficiaries to a Christmas party
Christmas has come early for dozens of children from 20 Hong Kong families thanks to the work of a charity and its fundraising partner.
The beneficiaries of Project Space’s home repair services, who live in inadequate housing in various districts, got together and enjoyed buffet snacks, booth games, face-painting and a visit by Santa at the Christmas party held in the organisation’s Quarry Bay office on November 21.
They also celebrated the festive season with some special guests from financial services firm Credit Suisse, which raised funds to support them.
Carsten Stoehr, the company’s Greater China CEO, said the group attached importance to giving back to the community.
“We also find that many of our staff members feel very strongly about engaging in [helping society],” he added.
Apart from fundraising, Liza Green, who oversees the company’s corporate citizenship programmes in the region, said she believed her colleagues could learn through volunteering in Hong Kong.
