Narrow escape for three Hong Kong pedestrians after tree branch falls on them

Three pedestrians in Hong Kong escaped serious injuries when a tree branch collapsed on them on Friday morning.
The incident happened near East Kowloon General Out-patient Clinic on Ping Ting Road near the junction with Hammer Hill Road in Choi Hung at 10.21am.
According to police, the branch which was several metres long broke off from a tree on a slope, injuring the three passers-by.

A police spokesman said the trio – two men aged 33 and 38, and one woman, 56 – suffered mainly scratches in the incident.

He said the injured were taken conscious to the clinic for initial treatment and later sent to United Christian Hospital in Kwun Tong.
