Hong Kong’s in-town check-in service has begun returning to full operation after being suspended for more than two hours.
The MTR Corporation said on Wednesday check-in had resumed at Hong Kong station, one of the five stops of the Airport Express, after emergency repairs to the network of the company’s telecommunication service provider.
The express line links urban areas to Hong Kong International Airport.
The railway operator earlier said the check-in service had been suspended due to an “in-town check-in system computer fault”, advising passengers to head to the airport ahead of schedule.
The Transport Department also announced the service had been resorted at 10.46am, about 2½ hours after it revealed the disruption at 8.17am.
