11 Hong Kong pupils taken to hospital after suspected gas leak at secondary school

Eleven Hong Kong pupils were taken to hospital after a suspected gas leak in their secondary school on Wednesday.
The Form Three students at New Asia Middle School in To Kwa Wan complained of dizziness and headache or stomach-ache after lunch, according to a source familiar with the case.
The insider said the two boys and nine girls attended a chemistry lesson at a school laboratory before the break.

He said school staff called police at around 3.30pm after suspecting a gas leak.
The 11 students were sent to Kwong Wah Hospital in Yau Ma Tei for treatment, a police spokesman said.
He added firefighters and staff from energy firm Towngas were called in to investigate the source of the leak.
The source said an inspection by firefighters confirmed there was no gas leak.
The force said no evacuations were needed.
