The 34th Hong Kong Book Fair will take place from July 17 to 23 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai under the theme of Film and Television Literature.

This year’s fair will take place concurrently with the Sports and Leisure Expo and World of Snacks expo, with a combined 760 vendors.

Seminars

Various seminars will be held with a list of renowned writers, scholars, celebrities and experts. Prior registration is required for some.

  • July 17: film producer and director Ng See-yuen and writer Sun Sai-shing from 3.30pm to 5pm in meeting room S423-424

  • July 17: singer Remus Choy Yat Kit on personal development and spiritual growth from 11am to 11.45am in meeting room S428

  • July 17: contemporary dramatist and screenwriter Raymond To Kwok-Wai from 2.30pm to 4pm in meeting room S224-225

  • July 18: former secretary for the environment Wong Kam-sing and former director of the Hong Kong Observatory Lam Chiu-ying from 11am to 12.30pm in meeting room S224-225

  • July 19: economist and businessman Shan Weijian from 1.30pm to 3pm in meeting room S421

  • July 20: Chinese novelist Jin Yucheng, best known for Blossoms, and literary historian Xu Zidong from 11am to 12.30pm in hall 5G

  • July 20: Chinese writer Su Tong from 3pm to 4.30pm in hall 5G

  • July 21: Chinese writer Ban Yu from 11am to 12.30pm in theatre 1

  • July 21: Songwriter and screenwriter Norris Wong Yee-lam and literary critic Stephen Yiu-Wai Chu from 6pm to 7.30pm in meeting room S221
