DJ Peggy Gou, Grammy-winning Justice to headline Hypefest in Hong Kong in November

Organisers announce star-studded line-up of music festival, to be held in Hong Kong for the first time, on November 9 and 10

Internationally acclaimed DJ Peggy Gou and Grammy-winning French electronic music duo Justice will be in Hong Kong to headline the coming Hypefest in November, joined by Korean pop band ADOY, “Queen of Japanese hip hop” Awich, and American rapper Rich The Kid.

Organiser Hypebeast on Monday announced the full line-up of the festival – its first edition in Hong Kong – which will take place on November 9 and 10, with Gou set to be the highlight performance of the opening day.

“Renowned for her signature DJ sets that fuse classic techno, house, and other electro music into an irresistible groove, Gou has transitioned from an underground sensation to a global icon, gracing prestigious clubs and festivals worldwide,” a spokesperson said.

“As a prominent figure in the realm of dance music and beyond, Gou will unveil her captivating performance in a festival setting in Hong Kong for the first time.”

The festival will be held at the Central Harbourfront Event Space, with a diverse array of performances that include regional and international acts.

Other first-day performers include American rapper Rich The Kid, who rose to prominence with a string of mix tapes; up-and-coming Japanese boy band ICHI KA BACHI KA or “All or Nothing”; and Chinese-American rising star sunkis.
