Worker, 63, dies after being found unconscious on Hong Kong road

A 63-year-old worker has died after being found unconscious on a Hong Kong road.

Police said they received a report at 2.14am on Wednesday that the non-Chinese man was found lying unconscious on Hing Fong Road in Kwai Fong.

But the Pakistani worker was certified dead at 3.13am at Yan Chai Hospital, about an hour after he was found.

An ambulance arrived at the site to provide first aid for the man before he was sent to hospital for further treatment.

A police spokesman said the worker had a history of illness but stopped short of revealing his medical condition.

A spate of serious and often fatal industrial accidents have taken place in Hong Kong recently.
