Missing Hong Kong man dies after being found unconscious at Suicide Cliff

A 47-year-old Hong Kong man has died after being found unconscious at Suicide Cliff on Saturday night.

Police said on Sunday morning that a search team had discovered the missing man at the hiking spot on Kowloon Peak.

The man, surnamed Wan, left his home in Lam Tin on Friday morning. His family later reported him missing, with signals from his iPad indicating he was near Suicide Cliff.

The search team and a government helicopter were then deployed to help find Wan, who was discovered unconscious at the scene.

He was airlifted to the Government Flying Service headquarters in Chek Lap Kok, where he was later pronounced dead.

His body was taken to a mortuary. The cause of death is still being investigated.
