Hong Kong police investigating after woman found dead under pile of items in flat

Woman’s brother calls police after being unable to contact her for two days and finding her in bedroom with only arm visible from the clutter

Hong Kong police have launched an investigation after a woman was found dead under a pile of items in her flat.

Officers attended the home at Rhythm Garden, located in the San Po Kong area of Wong Tai Sin district, after receiving a call from the woman’s brother at 8.16pm on Saturday.

He said he had been unable to contact her for two days and had found her in the bedroom of the flat with only her arm visible from the clutter.

The woman was confirmed dead at the scene by emergency services.

Police are investigating the cause of death.

On May 7, the skeletal remains of a man were discovered by a Housing Department employee in the bathroom of a flat in Shek Lei (I) Estate in Kwai Tsing.
