19 Hongkongers in Israel, Iran and Jordan contact authorities amid conflict
Residents reach out to Immigration Department, while travel sector representative reports no Hong Kong tour groups in those countries

Authorities have received inquiries from 19 Hongkongers in three Middle Eastern countries caught up in the ongoing Israel-Iran conflict, while a travel sector representative has said that tour groups from the city are unlikely to be in affected areas.
The Immigration Department said the inquiries received from Hongkongers in Israel, Iran and Jordan were as of 5pm on Monday.
It added that so far, 10 had safely left, noting it would maintain communication with the remaining nine.
The government also announced on Tuesday that Hongkong Post had suspended all postal services to Iran with immediate effect until further notice.
Since late last week, Israel and Iran have launched multiple attacks against each other targeting various cities, including their respective capitals, Tel Aviv and Tehran. Airspace in neighbouring Jordan, which was closed down twice amid the conflict, reopened on Sunday, but the situation remained chaotic.
Fanny Yeung Shuk-fun, executive director of the Travel Industry Council, told the Post on Tuesday that the group did not have information on any Hong Kong tours currently in the three countries, and it had not received any requests for help so far.
