Taxi driver dies, 6 injured in 3-vehicle crash in Hong Kong’s Kwun Tong
Cabby, 72, failed to stop in time and crashed into two private cars involved in earlier collision

A 72-year-old taxi driver has died after his vehicle slammed into two private cars involved in an earlier crash that had blocked a bypass, in an accident that injured six other people.
Police said on Monday the two private cars collided on the Kwun Tong Bypass at 11.05pm the previous day.
When the two drivers, 41 and 43, left their cars at the scene and stepped out to inspect the damage, the taxi driver failed to stop in time and crashed into the vehicles.

He sustained serious injuries and was rushed to United Christian Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after midnight.
The crash also left six people injured, including a 43-year-old taxi passenger and the two private car drivers.
Three other passengers from the two private cars, aged between four and 45, were also injured. A three-year-old girl in one of the private cars was unharmed.
All six were taken to hospital with injuries to their faces, shoulders, hands and legs.
The case is being investigated by the force’s Kowloon East special investigation team of traffic.
