Hong Kong police van overturns in three-vehicle pile-up in Tseung Kwan O, five people injured

A police van on Monday overturned in a collision with a double-decker bus, a car and a delivery van in Tseung Kwan O, injuring five people, including three officers.

Three officers, the male driver, and a male and a female officer, the bus driver, and the car driver were injured in the crash at about 5.25pm.

Several people climbed on the police van to help the officers trapped inside before emergency crews arrived. Seven fire engines and seven ambulances were dispatched to the scene on Po Lam Road North near Hong Sing Garden before, according to the Fire Services Department. The van was from the Tseung Kwan O police division.

The injured were taken to Tseung Kwan O Hospital and United Christian Hospital for treatment.
