A man died in hospital soon after crashing his motorcycle on a Hong Kong highway on Wednesday afternoon.
The motorbike was travelling along the Tsuen Wan section of Tuen Mun Road, when it slammed into a kerb outside the Belvedere Garden housing estate at about 1.20pm, initial investigation showed.
“The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries in the crash and he was unconscious while being taken to hospital,” a force spokesman said.

The injured man was sent to Yan Chai Hospital in Tsuen Wan, where he was certified dead soon before 2pm.
Officers from the New Territories South traffic unit were investigating the cause of the accident, the second serious one involving a motorbike in a day.

At about 3pm on Tuesday, a motorcyclist, 40, and his female passenger, 36, suffered serious injuries in a collision with a delivery van in Kwai Chung Road near the junction with Kwai On Road in Kwai Chung. The pair was taken unconscious to Princess Margaret Hospital, where they later regained consciousness.
