A Hong Kong driver escaped unscathed on Friday after his dump truck toppled and scattered concrete rubble across a highway, disrupting traffic for more than two hours.

A force spokesman said the out-of-control truck slid down the two New Territories-bound lanes of the highway on its side, but that the 53-year-old truck driver was unhurt.

Footage posted online showed the truck wobbling, before it toppled onto its left side and skidded along the road and ground to a halt.
