- Mercedes-Benz reverses back into wall surrounding village house after driver leaves vehicle without pulling handbrake

A 90-year-old Hongkonger suffered a leg scratch when he was trying to stop his Mercedes-Benz from reversing into a village house on Thursday after he left it without pulling the handbrake.
The two-door convertible car rolled backwards on a ramping path after the driver pulled over outside the house at Kap Pin Long San Tsuen in Sai Kung and left the vehicle soon after 9.30am.
A police spokesman said initial investigations showed that the man tried to stop the car but ended up with a scratch on his left leg.
He said the car came to a stop after slamming into the surrounding wall of the house. No tenants were in the house at the time.
Emergency personnel arrived at the scene after a woman villager reported the incident to police.

The spokesman said the wall measuring three metres by six metres was damaged in the incident.
