The story of a Japanese woman who arrived home to find her boss lying in her bed wearing only his underwear has shocked social media.
The unidentified woman in her 20s, from Japan’s western Fukuoka Prefecture, went home during her lunch break to pick up some belongings and discovered her superior at work, a 47-year-old man.
The woman remained calm, left her flat, closed the door behind her and called the police.
The police arrived later and arrested the man in the vicinity.

The unidentified man said he liked the woman and wanted to know more about her.
It was not the first time that he had sneaked into her room.
Investigators are still unsure how he got in and if he had installed anything illegal in the woman’s flat.
The woman had no knowledge of the previous break-ins.
The case went viral in Japan, sparking a heated discussion online. A video report on the incident attracted nearly 8,000 comments on a social media platform.

“At first I found it funny but then I realised it was the scariest thing in the world,” said one online observer.
“I think it was fortunate that she happened to go home to pick stuff up; otherwise she might have remained ignorant about the previous break-ins by her pervert boss and his behaviour would have become more dangerous,” another said.
“She should throw away her bed and even all her furniture. I would not be able to continue living there if the same thing happened to me,” said a third person.
“This is a very disgusting example of power harassment,” another said.
“I hope he did not go back to work like nothing had happened, and I hope the woman does not end up quitting her job,” another person said.
In Japan, power and sexual harassment in the workplace have become much-discussed subjects.
Power harassment, referred to as pawa hara in Japan, is workplace bullying in which a superior abuses their authority.
A survey conducted by the Japanese government in 2016 showed that one in every three employees had experienced power harassment in the previous three years.

About 30 per cent of working women experienced sexual harassment, according to the Japan Times in 2017.
In 2022, law revisions that require employers of all sizes in Japan to take measures against power harassment in the workplace took effect.
At the beginning of this year, some Japanese women posted on social media under the hashtag “The real reason I quit my job”.
Many said they encountered harassment at work and suffered from mental disorders as a result.
“It is usually the victim who quits,” one woman said.
