Chinese man resembling Hong Kong singer Eason Chan approached for photos by eager ‘fans’

A Chinese man who resembles Eason Chan returned to his hometown during the Lunar New Year and was widely mistaken for the famous Hong Kong singing icon.
Eason Chan Yick-shun, a leading figure in both Canto and Mandopop, has earned numerous awards across China, most notably Taiwan’s Golden Melody Awards.
With more than 22 million followers on one major social media platform, his influence spans all age groups in China.
During the Chinese Spring Festival, several netizens posted videos on social media claiming that a man resembling Chan was spotted in Xuan’en county, Enshi prefecture, Hubei province, in central China, sparking speculation that he was the iconic singer.
In the video, the man, with curly hair and wearing a white sweater, bears a striking resemblance to Chan, prompting many tourists to approach him for photos.

According to the Xiaoxiang Morning Herald, the man in the video, surnamed Han, is in his early 40s and is from Xuan’en.
