A 55-year-old woman won a bodybuilding contest after two decades of training left her with the physique of a 30-year-old.

Wang Jianrong said she worked out to challenge stereotypes about age.

She goes by the name Muscle grandma on mainland social media, and has also owned a gym in Shanghai gym for five years.

In March, Wang won a bodybuilding contest in China, beating other younger participants.

She said she wanted her victory to challenge social stereotypes about age, and inspire other women, especially middle-aged women, to pursue a healthy lifestyle.
