US man accused of killing girlfriend and posting photos of her corpse online

A man charged with killing his girlfriend in Washington state, posting pictures of her body online and writing that he wanted authorities to find and kill him was arrested without incident, police said.
David Michael Kalac, 33, was arrested on Wednesday night in the community of Wilsonville, about 32 kilometres southwest of Portland, police sergeant Pete Simpson said.
Police in Wilsonville said Kalac was cooperative. He was charged with second-degree murder in the slaying of Amber Lynn Coplin, who was found dead on Tuesday in her apartment in Port Orchard, Washington.
Kalac was believed to have fled in the dead woman’s car, a 2001 Ford Focus, which was found abandoned on Wednesday afternoon in Portland, about 257 kilometres south of the crime scene.
Kalac has a criminal history in Washington state and Virginia that includes convictions for assault, burglary and drunk driving, local sheriff’s deputy Scott Wilson said.
Deputies have confirmed that gruesome photos posted on a website are of the victim and the Port Orchard crime scene, Wilson said.
