Chief of Europe’s drug agency warns of coronavirus vaccine safety challenges
- Positive results will not remove the need for close monitoring of new Covid-19 vaccines, says Emer Cooke, the head of the European Medicines Agency
- Unlike the US FDA, the EMA has declined to put a target on how effective a vaccine must be to gain approval, opting to wait until more data is available
