Russian drone and missile attack on Kyiv kills 10, dozens wounded
The almost nine-hour attack was the latest in a spate of Russian aerial assaults on the Ukrainian capital

Ukraine’s interior ministry said on Tuesday that 10 people were killed in a Russian drone and missile attack on Kyiv, revising down an earlier toll of 16.
“During search and rescue operations, body parts may be found that are initially recorded as separate fatalities,” Interior Minister Igor Klymenko said in a statement explaining the new death toll.
He warned that there were “still people under the rubble” and that rescue operations were continuing.
Kyiv City Military Administration head Tymur Tkachenko said 99 people were also injured as explosions echoed across the city for hours during the night. The bombardment demolished a nine-storey residential building, destroying dozens of flats.
Russia fired more than 440 drones and 32 missiles at Ukraine, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said, calling the Kyiv attack “one of the most terrifying strikes” on the capital.
Russia “launched a group strike with high-precision air, ground and sea-based weapons, as well as strike drones on military-industrial facilities in the Kyiv region,” Moscow’s defence ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.
