Vladimir Putin tells spy agency to be on guard against foreign efforts to ‘destabilise’ Russia

  • The president said the activities by foreign powers, which he didn’t name, are aimed at ‘weakening Russia and putting it under outside control’
  • Putin’s comments came as relations between Moscow and the West have plummeted to their lowest point since the Cold War
