Ukraine war: daughter of ultranationalist Russian ideologue, Alexander Dugin, and Putin ally killed in Moscow car attack
- Darya Dugina, daughter of prominent ideologue Alexander Dugin, was killed after a suspected explosive device detonated on the Toyota Land Cruiser
- A family friend told Tass the vehicle belonged to Dugin, who had intended to travel home with his daughter from an event but ‘went in a different way.’

The daughter of a Russian nationalist ideologist who is often referred to as “Putin’s brain” was killed when her car exploded on the outskirts of Moscow, officials said on Sunday.
The Investigative Committee branch for the Moscow region said the Saturday night blast was caused by a bomb planted in the SUV driven by Daria Dugina.
The 29-year-old was the daughter of Alexander Dugin, a prominent proponent of the “Russian world” concept ideology and a vehement supporter of Russia’s sending of troops into Ukraine.
TV footage accompanying the statement showed investigators collecting debris and fragments from the spot where the explosion happened.

A family friend told Tass that the SUV belonged to Dugin, who had intended to travel home with his daughter from an event but “went in a different way.”
Investigators, who described Darya Dugina as a journalist and political expert, said they had opened a murder case and would be carrying out forensic examinations to try to determine exactly what had happened.
