Russian strikes across Ukraine killed at least six people, officials said on Saturday, most of them in an attack on a residential building in the eastern city of Dnipro.
Over 30 people were injured, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said.
Ukraine’s General Staff said Russia launched 47 ballistic and cruise missiles as well as 619 drones of various types.
Ukraine has been warding off a full-scale Russian invasion since February 2022.
Air raid sirens sounded across the country with residents urged to seek shelter.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said “the Russians’ tactics remain unchanged: attack drones, cruise missiles and a significant amount of ballistic missiles”.
“Most of the targets are ordinary infrastructure in cities. Residential buildings, energy facilities and businesses have been damaged,” he said.
Ukraine was able to intercept 580 drones alongside most of the Kh-101 cruise missiles and Kalibr missiles used in the attacks, according to the air force.
It said Russia launched the missiles and swarms of drones in an attempt to overwhelm Ukrainian air defences.
Heavy explosions were reported in both Kharkiv and Dnipro, while other cities, including the capital Kyiv, were also attacked.


Four people were killed and 27 wounded in an overnight strike on an apartment block in Dnipro, Oleksandr Ganzha, head of Dnipropetrovsk’s regional military administration said on Telegram.
A later strike on another apartment building in the city killed one person and wounded seven, he said.
There were efforts under way to free people believed to be buried under the rubble.
Fires broke out across Dnipro and partially destroyed several apartment buildings, businesses and a house.
In the southern region of Zaporizhzhia one person was killed and four wounded by a Russian drone strike on a civilian minibus, the head of the region’s administration, Ivan Fedorov, said on Telegram.
The overnight attack came less than two weeks after another huge strike on Ukraine, involving more than 40 missiles and 650 drones, with at least 17 people killed.
This time, in Odesa, the port area and warehouse facilities were damaged, according to Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Kuleba.

A Panama-flagged container ship was attacked by Russian drones while leaving the port, causing a fire on board that was extinguished.
Despite the overnight attack, Ukraine managed to launch one of its longest-range strikes.
Drones struck Yekaterinburg in the Urals region for the first time, signalling Kyiv’s growing ability to hit targets deep inside Russia.
The Russian Defence Ministry reported that 127 Ukrainian drones were intercepted over the Volga region as well as the cities of Perm and Yekaterinburg further east.
A multi-storey residential building in Yekaterinburg – Russia’s fourth-largest city with a population of about 1.5 million – was damaged in the attack, according to regional authorities.
Around 50 people were evacuated and at least six were injured, regional governor Denis Pasler was quoted as saying by state news agency TASS.
Yekaterinburg is one of Russia’s largest industrial centres and is a hub for military production.
It lies deep inside the country in the Ural Mountains, roughly 1,700km (1,056 miles) from the Ukrainian border.

There was initially no information available on potential military or industrial targets.
The attacks followed a prisoner swap on Friday, in which Russia and Ukraine exchanged 193 service members.
Periodic prisoner exchanges have been one of the few positive outcomes of otherwise fruitless months-long US-brokered negotiations between Moscow and Kyiv.
The talks have delivered no progress on key issues preventing an end to Russia’s invasion of its neighbour.
