Donald Trump sets sights on increased China tariffs and may tax more than US$500 billion in Chinese goods as trade war rages on

  • If a trade deal with China cannot be reached, US president says he will impose tariffs on an additional US$267 billion in Chinese goods
  • Trump is also considering placing tariffs on goods such as iPhones, which had been avoided previously to spare US customers
