11 billion miles from home, Nasa’s Voyager 2 reaches interstellar space

  • Six years after Voyager 1 reached the same area, Voyager 2 is now officially Nasa’s longest-running mission
  • The craft, which looks like a combination of a satellite dish and an old television set with rabbit ear antennas, was launched in 1977
