A GoFundMe page in memory of Hyun Jung Grant, one of eight people killed in the Georgia spa shootings last week, raised more than US$2.7 million for her two sons.

The effort is one of several GoFundMe pages for families of the victims of the March 16 rampage that in total have raised about US$3.5 million.

Hyun Jung Grant, 51, was a single mother to Randy Park, 22, and his brother Eric, 21. On the GoFundMe page, Randy Park explained how his mother worked long hours at Gold Spa and was often away from home for days or weeks at a time. The brothers have no other family in the US; the rest are living in South Korea and unable to come here, he said.
