Miley Cyrus is assuring fans she is safe following a harrowing flight incident.

The singer, 29, shared Wednesday morning on social media that her plane was struck by lightning as she travelled to Asunción, Paraguay, after a Monday show in Bogotá, Colombia.

A short video clip on her Instagram showed a bright light flashing outside the plane’s windows as passengers gasped and shouted. The plane’s exterior had some visible damage in a subsequent photo.

“To my fans and everyone worried after hearing about my flight to Asunción. Our plane was caught in a major unexpected storm and struck by lighting,” Cyrus wrote on Instagram.

“My crew, band, friends and family who were all traveling with me are safe after an emergency landing. We were unfortunately unable to fly into Paraguay. I LOVE YOU.”

Cyrus was expected to headline day two of Paraguay’s Asuncionico Festival on Wednesday.

Due to harsh weather, day one of the festival was cancelled – but that did not stop fans from catching some live music. Machine Gun Kelly, who was supposed to perform on Tuesday, opted to perform a version of his set outside his hotel.

“the concert grounds flooded in paraguay tonight so they cancelled our set … but i just ordered a huge speaker so meet me out front of my hotel right now, youre getting a show,” Machine Gun Kelly tweeted.

Foo Fighters was expected to headline Tuesday. Doja Cat and Jane’s Addiction were also tapped to perform.

A spokeswoman for Cyrus told USA Today the singer will still perform as long as the festival is not cancelled for a second day due to inclement weather.

A decision on whether day two of the festival would go on was set to be announced Wednesday and information about refunds is forthcoming, according to an official social media post from the festival.

Cyrus’ next scheduled performance is Saturday at Brazil’s Lollapalooza music festival.
