The driver of a Tesla car who accidentally crashed into a backyard swimming pool in the United States this week was saved by two “good Samaritans” from a nearby preschool, according to a local official.
The woman stepped on the accelerator instead of the brake, sending her and two passengers, an adult and a four-year-old child, hurtling through the wall of a California backyard and into the pool, Pasadena city spokesperson Lisa Derderian told Insider.
Derderian said one person was at the home, but was not aware of what was going on outside.

“Pretty quickly after the vehicle crashed,” Derderian said, “it started to submerge under water.”
The crash prompted two staff members from a nearby preschool, Pacific Oaks Children’s School, to run over and help the occupants of the car.

The two good Samaritans helped the two adults and the young boy get out of the car and out of the water.
