US presidential candidate Robert Kennedy Jnr tells Joe Rogan he takes ‘precautions’ to avoid CIA assassination

  • Robert Kennedy Jnr is making a long shot bid to challenge US President Joe Biden for the Democratic nomination
  • Kennedy, 69, is the son of slain presidential candidate Bobby Kennedy and nephew of assassinated President John F. Kennedy

US presidential candidate Robert Kennedy Jnr told podcast host Joe Rogan he’s “aware” the CIA may kill him and lives accordingly.

Kennedy, the 69-year-old son of slain presidential candidate Bobby Kennedy and nephew of assassinated President John F. Kennedy, has been linked to numerous conspiracy theories over the years, including suspicions over the deaths of his famous family members.

During a Thursday appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, Kennedy – who announced his entry into the 2024 presidential race in April – said he is conscious of the possibility that he could be shot by US government operatives.

The Harvard-educated environmental lawyer insists he doesn’t live in fear of being assassinated “at all”, but says it does affect how he conducts himself.

“I gotta be careful,” he said. “I’m not stupid about it and I take precautions.”

Despite his family’s formidable standing in Democratic Party politics, Kennedy Jnr’s candidacy is struggling to gain traction coming out of the gate. A Quinnipiac University Poll published Wednesday shows him trailing party front runner and sitting President Joe Biden by more than 50 points.

In November 2021, people threw Kennedy’s late cousin John F. Kennedy Jnr’s name into the mix for the 2024 presidential race with a rally in Dallas where QAnon supporters believed he would show up with former president Donald Trump to announce a joint candidacy.

Neither Trump nor JFK Jnr, who died in a 1999 plane crash, appeared at that event.
