Chinese University seeks associate director

Educational administrators with at least 15 years' experience would be ideal candidates for this demanding yet fulfilling role, working to benefit professionals and older students.

The Chinese University School of Continuing Education needs an associate director to assist the school director in the overall management of the school.

The successful applicant will spearhead initiatives for the progressive expansion of the school and provide leadership in the management of the school's administration and academic divisions.

Candidates should have a successful track record in developing and implementing expansion strategies. Applicants should be good mediators, and be able to develop substantive links with professional societies and educational bodies.

Proven leadership abilities and strong interpersonal skills are essential, particularly for planning and implementing strategies.

The ability to communicate with colleagues in English, Cantonese and Putonghua would be an advantage.

A love of learning and familiarity with contemporary trends in continuing education would also be an asset in the interview process, as would relevant commercial experience. Candidates will be expected to have a postgraduate degree, and preferably a doctoral degree.

The salary for the post is in the range of $73,000 to $87,000 per month, on a fixed-term contract basis for up to two years.
