People wore costumes to perform in the “Rome Days” festival last month. The annual event was held in the Roman Amphitheatre of El Djem, a town in Tunisia. It is the biggest Roman amphitheatre in North Africa.
The festival gives people a look at everyday life in Thysdrus – the ancient name for El Djem during Roman rule. It had mock gladiator fights, plays, and pottery classes.
