During the second week of April, my school took us on an educational trip to Shenzhen for Primary Five students. We went by bullet train, and it was very fast!

We stayed for two days. On the first day, we visited our sister school, Regents Primary School. We saw many performances from different cultures. My favourite was the Chinese dance, which was graceful and beautiful.

Next, we went for lunch at a Chinese restaurant. I am a vegetarian, and I was surprised to see so much vegetarian food! After we ate, we went to DJI, which makes drones and film cameras. We saw big drones and mini drones.

After a fantastic day, we finally reached our hotel, called Mercure Hotel. I slept early because I was exhausted. The next day was even better! It started off with a delicious breakfast buffet.

We visited the Shenzhen Air Shuttle Station. It was like the MTR but in the air! The air shuttle can carry about 70 people at a time. We saw the control room and even went in the air shuttle. The ride ended too fast for me, but I loved it.

Did you know that the air in Shenzhen is less polluted than in Hong Kong as people use more electric cars and buses? I hope that Hong Kong adopts electric transport and becomes more environmentally friendly.

I hope that my school will organise more informative and educational trips like this in the future. I learned a lot in Shenzhen, and it would be so exciting to take another trip. I will treasure this experience.
