Last month, our school held a charity run called the Long Ducker. This is a normal event in Harrow schools, especially in the UK.

Participants could choose from three distances: the Mini Ducker, where they walk or run a few laps on the track; the Short Ducker, where they do 8km in the mountains; and finally, the Long Ducker, where they walk or run 16km!

Many people chose to complete the Short Ducker; some students, teachers, and teaching assistants even brought their dogs with them!

Once you returned to school, you could play games or eat. There were many different types of food, like Japanese, Korean, Hong Kong, French, Spanish and more!

Of course, it wasn’t free; you had to buy a special card loaded with Ducker Dollars to purchase treats.

It was all for a good cause, too. We raised money for the charity A Drop of Life, which helps people get access to clean water. We were excited to make a difference not just in Hong Kong but around the globe. We want to make the world a better place.

There was entertainment during the event as well. You could listen to people play different instruments while eating or playing. Even if your friend doesn’t attend Harrow, you could still invite them to come and do the Long Ducker with you.

This charitable event is fun, useful, and meaningful. I hope the Long Ducker programme lasts forever!
