I recommend reading Gulliver’s Travels, written by Jonathan Swift. After taking lessons on analysing the book, I learned how the author uses the text to give his opinions on things like the laws of his time.

Reading this book could broaden your knowledge and give you a different perspective. It is very old and hard to understand, but it can help you learn how to read different texts. This book has many strange twists; for example, the roles of humans and horses have changed.

Gulliver also talks about war and why wars start, so this book could help you study if you have a history exam or if you just like history.

It is also good for learning about different points of view. For example, Swift’s perspective is that the soul is beautiful and the body is ugly. Gulliver’s Travels reflects on the discoveries, people and laws of Swift’s time. Reading the book will help you broaden your horizons.
